We
have successfully completed all the four trails from the fourth trailhead of Isaiah
53:1.
When
we reviewed the journey through the fourth trailhead, we found that each of the
reference scripture substantiated a facet of the essence of the trailhead.
Essentially,
the fourth trailhead of Isaiah
53:1 is about the Promised Messiah revealing the message of salvation but
will be rejected.
This
trailhead leads to four trails with each divulging more information. It brings
to mind Hebrews
1:1 where it is stated that God has spoken through the prophets in many
separate revelations, each of which set forth a portion of the truth, and in
many ways. This map provides a sense of
that verse is saying.
For
example, the first trail of Isaiah
52:7 tells us that the Promised Messiah will announce the Gospel, which
connects to the message of salvation mentioned in Isaiah 53:1.
From
the second trail of Isaiah
52:10, we learned that the message of salvation will be revealed to the
entire world.
The
third trail of John
12:38-41 recorded the fulfilment of the prophecy of Israel rejecting
the message of salvation.
Even
when the beloved Son of God in the flesh as Jesus of Nazareth ascended to
heaven after completing his redemptive mission, Israel still rejected the
message of salvation through Him crucified.
This is evident from the fourth trail of Romans
10:16.
Allow
yourself to be held in awe by the wisdom of God as you review the journey with
this map in your private time with the Lord Jesus. Insofar as the Wisdom of God
is concerned, this is but the tip of the ice-berg. It is when we see His Wisdom for ourselves
that we will begin to take what He said seriously and act on it. Until then, the Holy Bible is but like any
other book.
Proverbs
1:7 says that holding God in awe because of His wisdom is the beginning and the
preeminent part of knowledge; its starting point and its essence. Proverbs
2:4-5 adds that if you seek skilful and godly wisdom as you
would silver and search for her as you would hidden treasures; then you will
regard Him as truly awesome and discover the knowledge of God. When we start catching a glimpse of the
awesome wisdom of God from the written word, we will begin to know and trust
Him.
Romans Chapter 11
is another illustration of the profound Wisdom of God. I strongly encourage you
to chew on it.
