We
are now on the second path of Isaiah
49:6. It is set in the context
of the Salvation of God reaching to the end of the earth as recorded in Isaiah
49:1-7.
When
we look at Isaiah 49:6, we see that the Salvation of God is for the
entire world. John
3:16 would serve to further substantiate this as it says that “God so loved the world that He sent His only beloved
Son”. God sent His
only beloved Son to save the world, not just the Jews only.
Before
Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave the commission to His disciples to spread the
message of salvation to all nations as written in Matthew
28:19-20.
Hence,
the nub of Isaiah 49:6 is:
“The Promised Messiah will bring
salvation to the entire world”
