The second track of Romans
10:15 is set in the context of faith coming by hearing and
hearing the message concerning Christ as written in Romans
10:14-17.
I believe God sent the prophet Isaiah to preach
about the coming of the Messiah. And the
Messiah, Who is the beloved Son of God in the flesh as Jesus of Nazareth, was
sent by God to preach the Gospel. As
recorded in Luke
4:19, He came to declare “The day
when salvation and the favor of God greatly abound”. The Messiah in turn
commissioned and sent out His disciples to bring the Gospel to the world after
His ascension as stated in Matthew
28:19-20.
Every believer is an ambassador of Christ to share
the Gospel as is written in 2
Corinthians 5:20. Hence, believers
have been commissioned as vessels through whom God is making His appeal for
reconciliation to Him. This commissioning can be found in 2
Corinthians 2:17 and 2
Corinthians 5:11-21. We are the
commissioned officers of God.
Therefore, the heart of Romans 10:15 is:
“The Preacher of the salvation
message”.
The beloved Son of God was the first Preacher of the
salvation message and believers have been commissioned to preach that same
message. We see that this second track
points back to the trail of Isaiah 52:7,
alluding to the Promised Messiah as the First preacher of the Gospel. Therefore, the Isaiah 53:1 Messianic
credential has been verified by Romans 10:15.
