We
are now at the second station of Joshua
10:27. It is also set in the context of the victory
at Makkedah as written in Joshua
10:22-27.
The
station of Joshua 10:27 talks about the five Amorites kings being buried
in a cave at sunset on the same day. It was
a foreshadowing of how the Promised Messiah would be buried in a rich man’s
tomb on the day before Sabbath. It reminds us of how the body of Jesus of
Nazareth was taken down from the cross and buried in a rich man’s tomb on
Preparation Day before Sabbath.
