We are
now on the third and final trail of Isaiah 53:10-12. It is set in the context of “The Suffering
Servant”. This is also covered in detail
in the fifth and final volume of this series.
Essentially,
Isaiah 53:10
speaks of Jesus of Nazareth as the guilt offering to accomplish the will of God for
spiritual offspring. In Isaiah 53:11,
we see that the Son of God in the flesh as Jesus of Nazareth died to acquit
multitudes of sin. Finally, Isaiah 53:12
speaks of the Promised Messiah dying the death of a criminal.
In
the context of the entire trailhead, Isaiah 53:10-12 speaks of the
successful completion of the God-given mission by the Promised Messiah.
Thus,
the thrust of Isaiah 53:10-12 is:
“The Promised Messiah will accomplish His mission”.
This
trial leads to the track of Luke 22:37.
