We are now at the first signpost of Deuteronomy 12:8-11. It is set in the context of the Law of the Sanctuary.

In this signpost, we see that Moses was telling the Israelites how to worship God in the Promised Land before they entered it.  Hence, the crux of Deuteronomy 12:8-11 is:

“Worshipping God in the Promised Land”.
