Volume 3 3rd Trailhead – 1st Trail – 1st Track – 2nd Checkpoint

We are now at the second checkpoint of Genesis 27:36. The verse is set in the context of the stolen blessing.

When we were at the checkpoint of Genesis 25:26, we saw from Genesis 1:26, Luke 4:6 and John 12:31 that Satan is the ruler of this world which he defrauded from Adam through Eve.

Hence, the heart of Genesis 27:36 is:

“Mankind was defrauded of its birthright and blessing”.

The context passage seems to me like a scene after the Fall where Adam cried to God when he realized the severity of his folly in disobeying God’s counsel.

Genesis 27:40 hints at the redemption plan that would eventually be completed by Christ Jesus.  Jesus conquered Satan on the Cross as stated in Colossians 2:15 and has thereby set us free from sin as written in Romans 6:18.
