Ephesians 4:30 is set in the context of the Christian’s love walk as written in Ephesians 4:29-31.

While looking at 2 Corinthians 5:2, I have gotten ahead of myself by making reference to this verse.  To reiterate, when God gave Adam the physical body, it was meant to be immortal and eternal.  The decay and death of the physical body is the final consequence of sin as stated there.
